An incredible opportunity has arisen to join a leading organisation procurement construction and project management company. They are looking for an Architect to plan and conduct work within a global business unit driving judgement across various sections of the project.

The Role: Architect

This is an exciting role where you will have the opportunity to grow into your career and develop your leadership skills with new customers around the world. This role will suit someone who has worked in the oil and gas sector, predominately in Energy. You will be responsible for:

• Plans architectural layout, detailed architectural design and layout for buildings.
• Prepares building material interface details for review by senior personnel
• Co–ordinates work and collaborates with other project engineering disciplines
• Participates in studies that require knowledge of principles and techniques commonly used in architectural work.
• Assists in the on-the-job training and development of people assigned.
• Performs architectural tasks having some degree of complexity
• Reviews and recommends approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements.
• Other duties as the role requires

The Candidate: Architect

The successful candidate will have a ‘can-do’ attitude, ability to problem solve and a self-driven decision maker. You should also have most of the following:

• Technical knowledge of architectural concepts, techniques, materials and construction methods.
• Understanding of the application of Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), company design guides and architecture to plant constructability.
• Familiarity with construction practices and economics
• Knowledge of current computer applications for architectural design including computer aided design (CAD), both 2-D and 3-D.
• Current knowledge of industry or regulatory codes, standards and design criteria pertinent to architectural work.
• Heavy industrial architectural experience is preferred, such as work in chemical, Oil and Gas, Refineries. Light industrial experience will also be considered.

The ideal candidate needs to be commutable to the office so should live in or near the following: London, Slough, Watford, Crawley, Chelmsford, and Reading.
