Our Client has a requirement for a Field Applications Scientist, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a highly driven and motivated individual to join the Technical Support team as a Field Applications Scientist to be based in Abu Dhabi. This role will suit someone with a strong dedication to customer service.

Job Role Responsibilities:

This exciting and challenging role involves working closely with the sales team to provide a high-quality level of technical expertise, consultancy and representation for our products. The successful candidate will be working to strengthen the company's relationship with scientistsThe role is highly technical and involves providing pre-sales activities, including presentations, seminars, and technical calls. The Field Applications Scientist (FAS) will be supporting customers in all stages of the technology, including experimental design,, and data analysis. Responsibilities include providing specialized expertise to assist with sophisticated and technical customer inquiries and in addition, providing technical advice.

Other responsibilities include:

• Lead Key Customer relationships from a technical perspective to ensure success 
• Provide hands-on assistance and training to showcase standard processes and ensure the highest level of customer success in the lab.
• Establish and complete end-to-end workflows and solutions.
• Provide consultancy services in collaboration with the Applications team members.
• Track, record and document relevant information from all technical inquiries from customer and prospective customers onto the CRM.
• Support customers in all stages of the technology, including experimental design, 
• Travel is required as part of the role.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

You'll have a solid background of lab experience with proven knowledge and understanding of genetics, molecular biology, cell biology and related fields as well as theoretical knowledge and practical experience of novel experimental design, appropriate sample preparation methodologies (DNA isolation, fragmentation etc.) and appropriate analysis leading to new ways of measuring biological phenomena. You'll be used to working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with the ability to effectively work on and manage many priorities at one time. Your communication and interpersonal skills are a key strength, and you have the technical proficiency to understand and clearly discuss fundamental theory and principles of experimental design,techniques and results; and to provide information back to customers in a helpful, courteous, positive and professional manner. You're able to work effectively both with internal departments and internationally, and proficiency in other languages would be advantageous.

We'll expect you to have a Ph.D or Masters Degree in life sciences with previous experience in Next Generation Sequencing technology with Field support experience.
Frequent travel is expected as part of this role.
