Role: Installation Engineer (Cable Pulling)

Contract/Staff: Contract

Contract Length: 18 months

Location: South East London

Rate: Inside IR35

 

Position Overview:

As a High-Voltage Installation Engineer, you will be a key player in our client’s mission to deliver reliable, high-quality electrical solutions. You will work on challenging projects involving high-voltage cables of 200kV or more, with a focus on cable pulling, Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), and tunnel installations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute cable installation projects, including cable pulling, termination, and testing.
  • Develop and implement Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe project execution.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during installation.
  • Maintain and repair high-voltage electrical equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage cable installation (200kV or more).
  • Strong knowledge of cable pulling techniques, terminations, and testing procedures.
  • Experience working on tunnel installations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in creating and implementing Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments and adhere to safety protocols.
