Junior Project Engineer

Typical Responsibilities

Assisting the project team with the management and delivery of distinct tasks and activities to achieve the programme requirements.

This will include:

•             Ensuring the Site Clearance Certificate process is progressed in line with programme/schedule needs.

•             Liaising with MOD, TA’s, DA, Plant Manager and other stakeholders, building relationships with these parties to the benefit of the programme

Support the team in their activities around:

o             Replying to TQ’s.

o             Compiling Reports.

o             Preparing for and contributing to meetings.

•        Planning and scheduling of project activities

•        Review and submission of Method Statements and Risk Assessments

•        Preparation and collation of Lifetime Quality Records

•       Review and instruction of Contractor Scope of works

•       Preparation and running of Presentations

•       Support the Project Manager as and when required within the framework of Project    deliverables

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of ONC (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline and / or be able to demonstrate relevant experience of working within the marine / engineering / construction industry.

Working towards the above or similar or engaged in a technical apprenticeship.

Experience of Microsoft Office applications and in handling technical documentation for construction projects.

Willing to work on-site at Devonport.

Able to obtain a minimum BPSS but ideally SC clearance.
