NPI Project Manager

The NPI Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of HVDC and FACTS Valve NPI

projects on time within budget and scope. He/she will plan, monitor and report the progress

of the project, working closely with the corresponding team leaders and Solution Owners.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Develops project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Creates a detailed project plan; monitors progress and performance against it; prepare and present technical and project status data to internal and external stakeholders, including Controlled Title Holders, Technical-, Solution- and Business Leadership Teams
  • Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the projects, ensures best utilization of resources to fulfil the needs of multiple programs using synergies between them in order to ensure completion of projects as efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Evaluates and approves changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project, in agreement with PMO leader and Solution Owner or escalate to CTO if necessary

 

  • Performs risk management to minimize project risks, assure timely resolution of issues
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation
  • Organize discussion between Technology and other functions (ITO, OTR, GSC, Sourcing, …) to ensure visibility and transparency of programs under his/her ownership
  • Lead the handoff between NPI and Global Supply Chain on components, suppliers, BOM, manufacturing processes and tooling

 

Qualifications / Requirements

 

  • Bachelor degree or above in Engineering with considerable experience or equivalent knowledge & experience in Technical Project/Program Management
  • Demonstrable capability and demonstrated program management skills working on large and challenging Hardware NPI programs with solid track record of success
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across different levels/disciplines
  • Good organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • In depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management tools
  • Six-sigma Green Belt certified
  • A can-do attitude and energy level
  • Demonstrated experience and track record of success in working with global engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, commercial etc
