Contract: 9 - 12-Month Contract

IR35: Outside IR35

Hybrid work with 3-4 days WFH.

 

Position Overview:

We're hiring a Structural Engineer for an exciting project with an international consulting, engineering, and validation company. This role involves designing a new clean facility for a company based in Ghana, operating in the Pharmaceutical sector. You'll be responsible for ensuring structural integrity, compliance with standards, and efficient facility design.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize structural components for the clean facility, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural considerations.
  • Utilize CAD drawings for Tekla Structural Designer and create a Revit model.
  • Prepare accurate engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Evaluate material choices for performance and durability.
  • Identify structural risks and develop safety strategies.
  • Stay updated with regulations and communicate effectively.
  • Contribute to process improvement and innovation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering – or relevant experience
  • Experience in the build of commercial/industrial buildings/factories or hospitals
  • Prior structural design experience in pharmaceutical settings - preferred
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
