Candidates must be strong REVIT users and have strong experience of RIBA. We are seeking a construction detail-oriented and experienced Architectural Technologist / Technician to support the delivery of technical design, construction, and handover documentation across RIBA Stages 4–6 for complex industrial and energy sector projects. The candidate shall be highly proficient in Autodesk Revit and have a strong understanding of model development, producing Stage 4 information (such as to LOD300), and be capable of designing construction details to UK industry standards including Building Regulations with minimal supervision. Main Responsibilities: Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective marine operations Monitor transportation and installation engineering readiness Develop, maintain, and implement the Vessel Management Plan Coordinate SIMOPS activities when required Act as the marine focal point, maintaining a live vessel activity log Serve as the primary point of contact for project vessels, offshore supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders during offshore operations Maintain continuous communication with vessels, offshore platforms, and jack-up units Identify survey and remedial work requirements to support vessel positioning Maintain up-to-date marine documentation (excluding self-produced documentation) Manage audits of vessels, jack-ups (marine aspects), and ports when required Participate in HSE activities, including HAZID and related workshops Ensure compliance with navigational safety measures, including exclusion and safety zones, guard vessel coordination, and COLREGs Support the issuance of Notices to Mariners, Kingfisher Bulletins, and other stakeholder communications as required Coordinate with the Fisheries Liaison Officer (FLO) regarding fishing activity interactions Act as the first-response coordination point for vessel-related emergencies (e.g. collision, fire, man overboard, oil spill) Initiate emergency communications with HM Coastguard and follow escalation pathways defined in the Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (OPEP) and Emergency Response Plan Document incidents and support post-incident investigations and reporting Maintain records of vessel activity, daily reports, incidents, and near misses Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and standards Skills and Experience Required: University degree in an appropriate engineering or scientific discipline Qualifications in project and/or construction management Extensive industry experience in marine operations, offshore installation, and diving works Strong understanding and experience with jack-up site assessment requirements and associated processes Knowledge of challenges and opportunities related to the transition from oil and gas to low-carbon energy Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English required; additional languages are an advantage) Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a dynamic environment Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a clear understanding of professional ethics and protocols Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required Based in London with flexibility for travel Company information At First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
