Our well-known Power and Electronics client is looking for a Cad Drafter to join their team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities and the Role:

Create and update sketches, working drawings and contract documents using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software, experience in EBase, AutoCAD and/or CREO preferred.

Prepare 2D and 3D models. Be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications.

Requires familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology.

Able to read engineering drawing and blueprints. Prepares documentation to support design drawings.

Often requires experience with the specific design application in use by client.

Able to define requirements and produce detailed design documentation using standard design blocks under the guidance of lead engineers including;

• Electrical Schematics (using Engineering Base and Auto CAD tools)
• Creating electrical wiring schematics and panel/wiring drawings
• General Assembly drawings (using CREO tool)
• Creating electrical wiring schematics and panel/wiring drawings
• Producing Bill of Materials, preparation and execution of documentation
• Producing electrical schematics to the IEC 61082 standard
