Civil Engineer: Cologne

Job Role

• Specification, monitoring and control of planning services from concept study to execution planning for soil surveys, construction site preparations, supply and disposal systems, pipe supports, process structures (solid construction and steel construction), industrial and non-industrial buildings including their technical equipment (TGA)
• Conducting inventories
• Independent concept and design planning of all structural structures in plant construction, including static preliminary measurements
• Creation of mass determinations and bills of quantities
• Assessment and assurance of project planning in terms of occupational safety, structural fire protection and regulatory environmental requirements, including compliance with specific licensing systems at the customer site and compliance with factory standards
• technical clarification with other departments and the customer
• commissioning of planning services to external engineering firms as well as their coordination
• technical support of tendering and award of construction work to subcontractors
• Coordination of experts such as test engineers, WHG representatives
• Ensuring the cost and on-time project handling and reporting to the customer

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Successfully completed civil engineering studies
• Several years of experience in planning, tendering, contracting and property monitoring of industrial plants in plant construction, considering the building regulations and building planning law
• In-depth experience of the specifics of chem. Industry
• Communication skills
• Very good German and English skills
