Role Overview:

  • Location: Macclesfield (on-site with the option to work from home after the probationary period)
  • Reporting to: Design Manager
  • Responsibilities:
    1. Assistance with project development scoping and costing
    2. Liaison with clients, including attending meetings in person or via Teams
    3. Development of detailed designs for projects
    4. Engagement with client, design, and construction stakeholders
    5. Site surveys and reporting
    6. Assistance to the construction supervisor in technical matters at the site level
  • Required Experience: Strong pharmaceutical sector-related experience
  • Role Detail Description: Detailed responsibilities related to the efficient and compliant design and construction of electrical engineering services installations for various projects. This includes providing technical support, generating electrical installation deliverables, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications, and more.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Degree in electrical engineering or comparable demonstrable experience at this level.
  • Chartership: Desirable.
  • Strong experience in UK pharmaceutical construction projects.
  • Knowledge of best practices in Electrical Building Services design.
  • Understanding of the design process and associated documentation.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015 and experience in the 'Designer' role.
  • Ability to undertake site surveys.
  • Collaboration skills and experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work package management skills covering project stages from concept through detail design and construction support.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to identify innovative solutions and embrace emerging technology.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain excellent working relationships.
