Reports to Supply Chain Manager Functionally and administratively to the Project Manager
Must be familiar with:
* General Business Ethics
* Compliance with all RoK Laws and Regulations
* Good Business Judgement
* Administration of Major Capital Construction Contracting activities
Education BS (MS Engineering, MS Construction Management or MBA desirable)
Work experience
10+ years Oil and Gas Industry contracting experience with some experience in major capital projects preferred;
3+ years in project leadership roles, with at least one assignment on a project team, ideally at an EPC Contractor office or field construction site
Proficiency and Command of English language
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office suites.
Contract Management
* Lead development of and implement Contract Administration, including working with Project Manager and Supply Chain Manager in aligning on contract administration responsibilities
* Participate in internal kick-off meeting to ensure contract awareness, review contract terms and conditions, change order process, and claims avoidance
* Assist with coordination of external kick-off meetings with Operator and Contractor personnel to review key clauses of the contract and all contract deliverables, change order process
* Develops Project Contracts and associated commercial documents to implement Project Contracting Plans
* Manages the tendering activities associated with Project Contracts sourcing.
* Manages commercial claims and disputes associated with Project Contracts
* Manages a team of Contracting professional staffs
* Coordinate and steward Contractor's audit and ensure timely closure of all audit findings
* Conduct general contract administration training for new Project Team members
* Review / comment on Contractor's contracting and subcontracting plans, procedures / processes deliverables to ensure compliance with Project requirements
* Develop detailed Contractor Early Deliverables Log, including roles / responsibilities for Operator's review / approval and target due dates
Supervision
* Lead a team of 3 Professional staff and provide hands-on coaching and mentoring, including timely constructive feedbacks for improvement
* Steward the development of National staff (Kazakhstani) to acquire technical competency to secure job advancement opportunity
* Lead by example and demonstrate healthy interpersonal skills and relationship within the team
Safety
* Be a leader in work safety and environment protection:
* Contributes to consistent safety management, environmental protection, health, reliability, and efficiency to achieve world class performance in support of Operator's Operational Excellence strategies;
* Participates in the Behavior Based Safety Program (BBS).
