Finance Project Controller, with an Understanding of Subsea, Surface or Drilling Services projects. 12 Month Contract based in Stavanger, Norway. This role is paid in Norwegian Krone. (NOK)
Responsible and accountable for invoicing being carried out in a timely manner.
Responsible for following up and part take in resolution of issues related to past due and disputed invoices.
Responsible for supporting project managers with high quality financial information so that project financial results come in on plan or better.
Responsible for carrying out post project analysis on selection of closed projects and preset to management. Instigate learning in organization based on findings.
Responsible for revenue transactions being booked in accordance with Revene Recognition Policy.
General responsibility to train and enforce correct cost booking in organization.
Responsible for participating and driving functional cost budgeting, cost followup, variance analysis and budget adherence together with function manager.
Responsible and accountable for timely and accurate creation and update of sales orders.
Responsible and accountable for timely project creation and close down in ERP system.
Responsible for identifying and working active to improve efficiency in business processes and work tools.
Responsible and accountable for reporting to management in connection with month end.
Responsible and accountable for correct and timely bookkeeping.
Responsible and accountable for accurate booking of own work hours.
Responsible for accurate and complete forcasting.
Responsible and accountable for raising VOR workflow should you possess knowledge that necessitates this.
Responsible for carrying out all work in a manner that is SOX compliant.
Responsible and accountable for staying up to date with all regulations, procedures and processes that impact on work activities in the finance department.
Responsible for possessing and staying up to date with required skills (IT skills, Soft Skills, with more) to carry out your job in an accurate and efficient manner.

Proven ability to manage the financials in complex projects involving multiple functions and/or multiple sites/businesses and multiple deliveries.
Proven knowledge of and ability to apply accounting standards on transactions flowing from complex multi deliveries projects.
Proven knowledge and understanding of balance sheets and Profit and Loss reports.
Proven ability to communicate across complex teams and organizations, triggering action.
Proven ability to utilize ERP systems and MS Excel to sufficient extent for carrying out tasks in accurate and efficient manner.
Proven ability to spot inefficiencies in business processes and trigger and/or carry out improvements.
Proven ability to timely and accurately forecast billing, orders, revenue and margin.
Proven ability to adhere to and exploit complex contracts.
Proven ability to deliver insightful reporting and analysis to provoke informed and correct business decisions.
Proficient in English both written and verbally.
Ability to set and uphold the financial agenda in operations team.
Proven ability to create timely and accurate invoices and follow up AR.
Proven knowledge and understanding of business transactions and enterprise impact.
Proven knowledge and understanding of business processes in complex projects.
Min. 2 years of project financial controllership and analysis experience.
Min. Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or Industrial Finance.
PC Literacy: Proficient user of MS Excel, SAP, Oracle, MS Office Understanding of Subsea, Surface or Drilling Services projects.
