There is a requirement for a Signalling Engineer to come onto the Crossrail project on a Fixed-term Contract for at least a year in East London.

Role Brief:

  • To contribute to the management of the execution of the Signalling works safely, to the requirements and to schedule with particular responsibility for the fringes with Network Rail.
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to manage the fringe technical works with Network Rail, of the signalling C620 Contractor throughout the phases to commissioning and handover, ensuring works are undertaken safely to quality and to schedule
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to manage the signalling C620 Contractor to ensure the fringe works with Network Rail are integrated within Crossrail Requirements
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to manage the production of C620 works and review C620 Contractor Signalling Design deliverables and certification in accordance with the Technical Assurance Plan
  • Provide technical expertise to the Crossrail signalling team on Network Rail Standards
  • Prepare periodic reports on signalling works

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Professional qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering or an associated discipline
  • Good engineering knowledge of Network Rail Signalling Standards
  • Experience in design and construction signalling systems
  • Knowledge of ETCS and CBTC systems an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Have a good general knowledge of railway regulations and standards
  • Experience in managing D&B contracts
  • Familiar with railway operational requirements
  • Experience in checking Signalling Detail Design
