Senior Civil/ Underground Engineer with extensive experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. This role in based in NW London offices and will be required to start ASAP until the end of July 2019 (possible extending up to a month)
Rate is negotiable due to short duration.
Overview

  • Responsible for the design of underground drainage systems and networks
  • Responsible for coordination and definition of routing of underground services to ensure multidisciplinary requirements are provided
  • Responsible for undertaking drainage design studies and preparing project related design calculations using MicroDrainage software,
  • Responsible for the design of earthworks for site preparation packages
  • Responsible for reviewing, checking and commenting drawings and supervise civil designers in the preparation of layout drawings in accordance with project and Bechtel technical and quality work practises and standards
  • Within area of responsibility manage work progress and schedule, prepare progress reports
  • Advise Lead Engineer of any technical issues, schedule slippages, their causes and proposed corrective actions
  • Within area of responsibility prepare estimates, MTOs, estimate basis memo


Skills / Qualifications
Good understanding and experience of drainage design systems and routing of remaining underground services for Oil and Gas facilities to international and industry practice standards

  • Strong knowledge of MicroDrainage software
  • Experience in using drainage design tools and Microstation CAD packages
  • Experience in developing computer model simulation of drainage systems
  • Technically strong, self-motivated individual able to work with the minimum of supervision
  • Proven ability to engage in effective dealings with both client and contractors
  • Work experience on previous GASCO projects will have an advantage
