Senior Piping Engineer

Role : Senior Piping Engineer

Contract/Permanent : Contract

Location : Abu Dhabi

Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Piping Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:

Extensive experience in oil & gas process design

Position suits an engineer with strong technical experience, ideally in all piping Design & layout specialties and a full understanding/experience of the various scopes of projects of all phases

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Guarantees the compliance of Piping Design & Engineering solutions within client requirements, industry standards and Group HSE, engineering processes and best practices
• Must be familiar with UK, European, American, and international standards applicable to the petrochemical industry.
• Experience of the principles of plant layout and piping design incl. layout of pipework, layout of area for mechanical equipment, development of access & maintenance requirements.
• Understanding of pipe support systems.
• Understanding & technical participation in constructability reviews and design reviews (Layout fix, 30%, 60% & 90%).
• Experience of leading multi-office projects.
• Solid knowledge in design and installation of piping networks for oil & gas plants
• Experienced in Microstation & Autocad in production of 2D drawings.
• Experienced in production of 3D models using Smartplant
• Experienced in performing material take-off either from model or from general arrangements.

Proficient in as a minimum preparing &/or checking of;

• Discipline basis of design
• Discipline Specifications
• Data sheets
• Material Take-offs
• Requisitions,
• Technical bid evaluations
• Layout & Detailed drawings
• Participate in project, client and vendor meetings.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: 10 year experience oil and gas industry - EPC Company
