The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join a client engineering team delivering a major LNG FEED programme. This is a senior-level role for an engineer with deep expertise in high-voltage electrical systems and proven experience working to Aramco standards.

The role is fully office-based in Leatherhead, 5 days per week (non-negotiable) and offers long-term contract stability.

Key Information

• Role: Principal Electrical Engineer

• Location: Leatherhead offices – 5 days per week

• Contract: PAYE only (Inside IR35)

• Duration: 12 months+

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities during LNG FEED phases

• Design electrical systems up to 132kV, including:

  • HV distribution systems

  • Overhead lines

  • Reactive power compensation

  • Protection and control systems

• Interface with grid companies and manage grid compliance

• Deliver brownfield modification designs

• Ensure full compliance with Aramco Standards and Grid Code requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Previous Aramco project experience would be an advantage

• Strong LNG or gas processing background

• Experience across concept, study, pre-FEED and/or FEED

• Typically 12+ years’ experience with an engineering consultancy, OEM, or end user

• Proven experience designing 132kV electrical systems

• Strong knowledge of HV networks, grid interfaces, and protection systems
